If you play baseball or softball and have not tried VukGripz yet, you are missing out on one of the best grip upgrades available. We put the Pulse Yellow Bat Grip Tape through its paces across multiple games and practice sessions. Here is what we found.
First Impressions
The Pulse Yellow colorway is bold and eye-catching without being over the top. The black design pattern adds contrast that makes it look sharp on any bat. It ships in a generous length that is easy to work with, and the material feels immediately different from standard grip tape right out of the packaging. It is noticeably tackier and has a slightly textured surface that your hands lock into.
Performance: Grip and Feel
This is where VukGripz really separates itself. The tackiness is award-winning level, and that is not marketing speak. In hot, sweaty conditions where most grip tape turns into a slip hazard, the Pulse Yellow held firm. Your hands stay locked in without needing to death-grip the handle, which means less tension in your forearms and faster bat speed through the zone.
Durability
After several weeks of regular use including batting practice, games, and tee work, the tape showed minimal wear. The edges did not peel and the tackiness held up much better than standard bat tape. For the price, the longevity is excellent.
Installation
Wrapping is straightforward. Start at the knob, maintain consistent tension, and overlap by about half the width as you spiral up the handle. The tape stretches slightly which makes it easy to get a smooth, gap-free wrap. It adheres firmly and does not shift during play.
Verdict
The VukGripz Pulse Yellow Bat Grip Tape is a top-tier choice for players who want real grip performance with standout style. Whether you are a power hitter looking for shock absorption or a contact hitter who needs precision feel, this tape delivers. Highly recommended.
